Paganism. Where to get true advice and not silly folk who don't really understand the concept?

You can always ask questions on here, you'll probably get some silly answers, but there are a lot of Pagans here who know their stuff.

If you're interested about Paganism in general, I suggest checking out your local book store and thumbing through the books until you find one (or more) you wish to read in greater detail. Yes, some of the books out there I've said after reading, ';And they let them publish this??!?'; But if you read enough books you'll be able to sniff out the loony authors, as well as the ones you disagree with but acknowlege their side. Paganism is an unbrella term for many religions, so you'll mostly be looking at the individual religions as opposed to Paganism at broad.

For groups in your area I would suggest searching the Yahoo Groups as well as checking out Pagan-type stores and asking the workers. I found a group by looking at where the authors of books lived, then, finding one in my area, I checked out any organizations they were associated with or referenced.Paganism. Paganism is HUGE. It can include any non-Abrahamic faith.

There is a national Pagan Federation which you can find at www.paganfed.org. They have branches All over Britain(Pagan Federation,Devon and Cornwll, Scotland, etc) Our local pagan group meets once a month and has a notice in the library and the local newspaper. Yours might have too.Happy hunting. Blessed Be.
a bookstore. pagans are wonderful people, i love them dearly.
There must be pagan groups where you live..check out a new age bookstore for group meetings.
I can only speak for Wicca, but in my opinion this is THE best Wiccan site out there, especially for beginners:

It is thorough, it doesn't pull any punches, and it has an excellent book review section.
Why don't you try typing pagan related words into your search bar and see what comes up every time.

I did that...came across a wealth of info.

There's a lot of places to ask... I suggest asking your heart first.
Try googling it.
Paganism has been broadly defined as anyone involved in any religious act, practice, or ceremony which is not Christian. Jews and Muslims also use the term to refer to anyone outside their religion. Others define it as religions outside of Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism, while some simply define it as being without a religion.

History records that worship of many gods, goddesses, and deities was viewed by people as important in worship. It was thought that everything had a spirit and was polytheistic, so people had gods and goddesses of the forest, sea, and all aspects of nature.
Try the Pope!...
What's to understand? It's all about self.
