Does anyone have advice for getting a pet portrait?

I want to get my 14 month old cat's portrait made professionally. Does anyone have any advice for doing this? Has anyone done it for their pet? What should I expect and how I can relax my cat? Thanks for your help!Does anyone have advice for getting a pet portrait?
Practice at your house. Place your cat on a chair and take out a camera and get the cat used to the idea of having pictures taken. Tell the cat how good s/he is when the cat does what you want.

If you can get the photographer to come to your home that is best.

If you're going to a studio or pet shop bring treats with you and give your cat a bit of time to get used to the room before taking pictures.Does anyone have advice for getting a pet portrait?
