If you bought the 1501 from Dell, you should have the following item installed

Dell Wireless 1390 802.11g Mini Card (54Mbps)

Check your Device Manager or your Network connection to see if you have any Wireless device installed.

I don't know if this model has any external card slot, if so, you can always run down to Fry's to get a wide variety of PCM/CIA type of wireless network card.

Finally, make sure you have an Access point - at home you would need a wireless router that will hook up to your cable or DSL modem - configuration would not be easy follow instruction carefully and don't forget to encrypt your access point. Good luck
