I would like to know if any one has or has ever known anyone who had this happen. I had my 25 week ultrasound last week and the doctor called later that day because she told me they seen a cyst on my babies brain. The term is ';Choroid Plexus Cyst';, she told me not to worry and is sending me to a level II ultrasound. Of course though I am a nervous wreck and would like to hear anyone reassuring stories about this diagnosis. Thank YouPlease help me get some advice?
There is nothing worse than hearing news about your child being sick in some way. I have six children, who are all adults now, and the one thing I have learned is, that all the worrying in the world will not help the situation. We only make ourselves sick, and those around us miserable.
When I was becoming a mother, there was not the wonderful inventions they have now in the hospitals and operating rooms. There is more chance for most people to come out of a hospital thoroughly cured than ever before.
I know it will be challenging. Close your eyes, take some deep slow breaths, and say to yourself ';My staying positive will help this baby. They can feel our energy and therefore I am going to give it loving, positive energy, KNOWING that everything is going to turn out well.';
Please, try hard to relax because the baby feels everything you do, and the most miraculous things you can do for this baby is to be calm, loving, peaceful and sending it love. Tell the baby how much you love her/him, sing him soothing lullabies, read him beautiful poems, describe the beauty of a flower of a butterfly.
Put into that little body all the most wonderful, interesting, loving words you can and that in itself will calm you down and sooth the baby.
I personally believe, that love energy directed at a certain area, in your body or that of your child, can create miracles. It will not hurt either of you, so why not try closing your eyes, picture that part of the brain where this cyst is, and see it shrink into nothing.
Some children with cancer have used visualization techniques to cure themselves of cancer. They have imagined the cancer cells being attacked by the good cells, and the good cells coming out victorious.
Whether you can accept this or not, what harm would it do to put your mind on something like that, instead of panicking and stressing you and the baby out.
Think Peace and love, which is what I send you. Please help me get some advice?

Hiya,
Please don't worry too much - I have found a website for you, that seems to be for families of babies who are diagnosed with CPC, here is what the front pages says...
This website was inspired by, and is dedicated to, Alison Katherine. Ali was diagnosed with CPC's at 17 weeks. The CPC's resolved by week 24, and no structural abnormalities were noted in the ultrasounds.
On August 19, 1997, Ali was born! Ali is, and continues to be, a completely healthy and happy little girl! Our hope is that you will all have the same great fortune!
