Do you ever get the feeling that the people who are most willing to give you advice are full of crap?

Three years ago I started a new career and often found some of the people who went out of their way to give me advice were not the ones I wished to emulate. Just curious if this is universal.Do you ever get the feeling that the people who are most willing to give you advice are full of crap?
the willingness of advise givers in the workplace is a double edged sword. some newbies are set up to fail because they may be threatening to a certain position. this is were good common sense comes in, or go to the boss for his input. its a cut-throat world out there. as for yahoo answers, well, most people are sincere and answer questions truthfully from their own experiences and then there are the stupid ones, they just like trying to get a rise out of someone and basically get ignored or reported. you already know what to do with their advice, it goes in the toilet with the rest of the crap that comes out of their mouths. so there you have it. my personal opinion, from what i have seen and/or experienced in here and the working world.Do you ever get the feeling that the people who are most willing to give you advice are full of crap?
Well .. wait and see what kind of answers you get here .. that will more than confirm your theory ....


but I'm sure in the work place the ones who are '; in the know '; are that way because they don't share their methods of success ....
I'd say that's been true for me about half the time. You have to follow your gut feeling about which advice is worth taking. Also beware the source. For example, don't take relationship advice from someone who's been divorced many times.
Gee you asking that question here were we all give advice.
