I live in Orange County.I have tons of sales experience. Is it possible to get a part time pharmaceutical sales job? Any advice?
It is extremely hard to get a pharmaceutical sales job. Everyone seems to want one so your competition is very high, the companies have very strict hiring requirements and you must have some medical type experience. You must have extensive, solid outside sales experience, calling, setting up appointments, selling, educating and be very technical. As technical as a doctor is.





The only other way I have seen someone get a pharma sales job with no medical experience is that their best friend was the hiring manager. He worked there for two years and got tired of talking to snotty doctors and always pushing to just get a few seconds of their time.





Do some more research and talk to some people doing that job right now to get some insight.

The pharma sales jobs are rare, and part time pharma sales jobs are even more so. That's not to say that they are not out there. Start by researching some of the well known companies out there to see if they have affiliated companies that have a smaller sales staff that could accommodate a part time sales rep.
